VIDEO QUALITY WORKSHOP

Today, May 26, the Professional Audiovisual Technology Show, BIT Broadcast 2016, held a workshop where several professionals from academia and industry shared their visions about different topics related to Quality of Experience (QoE) in video services. In particular, speakers from the Universidad Politéncica de Madrid, the Universidad Carlos III, Indra, SAPEC, Nokia, and Abacanto gave some presentations and participated in a round table discussing about QoE fundamentals, effects of compression and transmission of audiovisual content over OTT services, and subjective and objective evaluation methodologies aiming at QoE monitoring in video delivery systems.

This workshop was part of the activities of project "Monitorización de Vídeo Segmentado (MOVISE)", supported by the Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad of the Spanish Government, that involves the Grupo de Tratamiento de Imágenes of UPM and Nokia.
