SomosCientíficos-Spring zone

Our colleague Marta Orduna has participated at SomosCientíficos Spring zone promoted by Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología! It has been a grateful experience to talk about science with students from High School, answering their questions about immersive technology, science and research in Spain and interests!

This type of projects is necessary to promote the passion for the STEM field, offering opportunities that bring technology to the professionals of the future. The most common questions were about the uncertainty of what to study, what they like, or what they want to do. Bringing together professionals, in this case scientists, from different areas of research helps to resolve their doubts and awakens the vocations of the students.

Marta told us that talking to a girl about Telecommunications Engineering, she had told her that she wanted to study it. Experiences like this are of great value both for students and for scientists who dedicate their free time to disseminating and promoting science in society.
