Camera network for people tracking and identification

On February 12th at 12:00, Room B-221.

The first part of the talk, there was a brief introduction on the activity of the speaker: direct digital frequency synthesis, atmospheric optical communication system, atmospheric turbulence modeling and serial communications. The second part presented a network camera system designed under python programming language and built using available resources on the internet. The camera network system used an open source model of deep neural network for people tracking and identification. Several examples of the network operation were shown.

Carlos Cortés received the Ingeniero de Sistemas Electrónicos degree in 2017 (Degree Graduation Award) from the Universidad de Málaga (UMA), Málaga, Spain, and the Ingeniero de Sistemas Electrónicos Master degree in 2018 from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Madrid, Spain. Since 2018 he has been a member of the Grupo de Tratamiento de Imágenes of the UPM. His research interests include immersive environments, virtual reality, mixed reality, 360º video and deep learning.
